Cory Walsh Receives the Lighthouse Award from the Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce

Lighthouse Award Presentation

OCEAN VIEW, DE (November 30, 2021) - Taylor Bank is proud to announce that Cory Walsh, Assistant Vice President, Loan and Business Development Officer, was recently awarded the Lighthouse Award from the Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s Annual Member Celebration, held Thursday, November 18, at Cripple Creek Country Club in Dagsboro Delaware.

The Lighthouse Award is the most prestigious award the Bethany-Fenwick Chamber presents, chosen by the chamber’s board of directors; it recognizes a longtime chamber member that contributes remarkable leadership and devotion to both the chamber and local community. Walsh served on the Chamber’s board of directors from 2013 – 2020. During his tenure with the Chamber he has held numerous positions, including three years as Treasurer, Vice President, President and Past President. For over five years, Walsh has volunteered as soccer coach for River Soccer in Roxanna, Delaware. He also volunteers for Lord Baltimore Lions Club and has served as Assistant Treasurer.

“Cory’s dedication to the community is evident through his participation in various organizations, and his involvement and commitment make him an exceptional leader,” said Raymond M. Thompson, Taylor Bank President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud to have him as a member of our team at Taylor Bank, and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.”

Walsh joined Taylor Bank in June of 2012 and is responsible for loan generation, business development, and client relationship management in the Sussex County and northern Worcester County markets. He is a graduate of Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
