Tarr Joins Taylor Bank as Vice President, Relationship Officer

Berlin, Maryland (June 4, 2018) – Raymond M. Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Calvin B. Taylor Bank has announced that Sherry L. Tarr has joined the bank as Vice President, Relationship Officer. Mrs. Tarr will be responsible for business development and client relationship management in the Chincoteague, Virginia market. Her office will be located at the bank’s Chincoteague branch.

Sherry comes to Taylor Bank with over 30 years of banking experience, specializing in business banking, lending, customer relationship management and retail banking management in Chincoteague, Virginia. During her banking career, Mrs. Tarr has served as the Assistant Vice President, Manager with The Marine Bank, Business Development Officer with PNC Bank and most recently, Vice President, Senior Branch Manager with Union Bank (formerly Xenith Bank). She is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management.

Mrs. Tarr is very active and involved in the local community. Some of these activities include serving as a board member of the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, Treasurer of the Chincoteague Island Library, serving on the marketing committee of the Chincoteague Seafood Festival, and volunteering at the Chincoteague Chamber Oyster Festival.
