Taylor Bank is headed by a 12-member Board of Directors made up of accomplished leaders from across the Eastern Shore. Their guidance has led to consistent growth, primed us for continued success, and ensured that our customers receive top-flight financial services.

Mr. Raymond M. Thompson has been employed by the Bank since October 1997. Mr. Thompson served as Vice President of the Bank from January 1999 to his election as President in May 2002, and as Treasurer of the Company from February 2000 to his election as President in May 2002. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank as of January 1, 2006. Mr. Thompson currently serves on the boards of the Maryland Banker’s Association, Worcester County Public Schools Education Foundation, Berlin Heritage Foundation, Ocean City Golf Club and the Synepuxent Rod and Gun Club. He is a member of the American Bankers Association Membership Council and the Atlantic General Hospital Corporation. Mr. Thompson is also a member and past treasurer of the Berlin Lions Club.

John P. Custis, Esq., CPA is a partner in the law firm Custis, Dix, Lewis, and Custis, LLP in Onley, Virginia, and has practiced law on the Eastern Shore of Virginia since 2010. In 2015, Mr. Custis expanded his law practice into Maryland, becoming affiliated with the firm of Long, Badger, & Sheller, LLP in Salisbury, Maryland. Mr. Custis owns Eastern Shore Tax Advisors, LLC, a tax compliance and consulting firm located in Onley, Virginia. Mr. Custis is a founding Board Member of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and also serves on the Board of the Wallops Island Regional Alliance. He is also a member of the Salisbury University School of Business Executive Advisory Council, and serves as Pro-Bono Attorney to numerous non-profit organizations on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He is a past Board Member and President of the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation and the University of Virginia Club of the Eastern Shore, a branch of the University of Virginia Alumni Association. Mr. Custis is also a former member of the Shore Bank Accomack County Community Advisory Board and the Onancock Rotary Club.

Mr. Hale Harrison owns and operates Harrison Group Resort Hotels in Ocean City, Maryland. Mr. Harrison is a former councilman and secretary for the Town of Ocean City and former Chairman of the Ocean City Planning and Zoning Commission. He is past Chairman and member of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital.

Mr. Reese F. Cropper, III is the owner of Insurance Management Group, Inc., an insurance agency. He is one of less than 100 agents nationally that holds the insurance designation of "Community Insurance Risk Management Specialist" (CIRMS) and he serves on the Maryland Chapter of Community Association's Institute's Legislative Action Committee. Mr. Cropper also serves on the Board of Trustees of Worcester Preparatory School, in Berlin, Maryland, and the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Regional Medical Center Foundation and Diakonia.

Mr. Todd E. Burbage is a builder, developer and owner of both commercial and residential projects in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, as well as Washington DC. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Regional Medical Center Foundation and Wallops Island Research Alliance.  Mr. Burbage is a member of the Atlantic General Hospital Corporation and serves on the Worcester Preparatory School Board of Trustees.  Mr. Burbage previously served on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Inc., The Greater Salisbury Committee and the Maryland Coastal Bays Program. 

Mr. James R. Bergey, Jr. is a Certified Public Accountant and President of Bergey & Company, P.A., located in Berlin, Maryland. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Waterman’s Trust and is a member of the Atlantic General Hospital Corporation. Mr. Bergey previously served on the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital and held the position of Treasurer. He currently is Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital.
Thomas K. Coates Esq. is a member of Coates, Coates & Coates, P.A. and has practiced law in the Berlin and Ocean City area since 1985. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland, the United State Tax Court and is a retired Certified Public Accountant. In 1994, he was appointed Court Auditor by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Worcester County, Maryland. Mr. Coates is a member of the Worcester County and Maryland State Bar Associations. He is past president of the Worcester County Bar Association, a past member of the Worcester County Board of License Commissioners and previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Atlantic General Hospital Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Peninsula Regional Medical Center and the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Inc. and Humphreys Foundation.
Mr. G. Hale Harrison is Vice President of Operations & Real Estate for Harrison Group Resort Hotels in Ocean City, Maryland. Mr. Harrison currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Atlantic General Hospital. He also serves on the Maryland Tourism Development Board and the Board of Directors of the Ocean City Development Corporation. He previously served as President of the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association.
Ms. Charlotte K. Cathell was first elected the Register of Wills for Worcester County in 1998. She has served as President of the Maryland Register of Wills Association for three years. Ms. Cathell currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital and on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic General Hospital Foundation. She is a member of the Ocean Pines/Ocean City Kiwanis Club, a commissioner on the Worcester County Commission for Women, a member of the Worcester County Library Foundation and a member of the Worcester County Board of Education Educational Specifications Committee and the Conceptual Planning Committee for Showell Elementary School. Ms. Cathell was a founder of Worcester County G.O.L.D (Giving Other Lives Dignity) and served until 2011 including as President for ten years from 1997 to 2007.
Mr. James R. Bergey, III is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Bergey & Company, P.A., located in Berlin, Maryland. He holds Bachelors’ degrees in both accounting and finance and has practiced public accountancy in the Berlin and Ocean City area since 2006. Mr. Bergey serves on the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital and is a member of its Finance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Hudson Health Services, Inc. Mr. Bergey is a member of the Atlantic General Hospital Corporation and Atlantic General Hospital Foundation. Mr. Bergey is a past Treasurer and past member of the Board of Directors of the Berlin, Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
